I have 3 of these devices at home. One connects to my wireless router, another to a hub in the upstairs office whilst the last is plugged in behind my wall-mounted LCD,m connecting to a netgear media streamer. Using this setup means I get good wireless downstairs, full 16Mb broadband upstairs and lets me stream TV shows from upstairs via the netgear in Hi-Def. Setup was easy, done in 10 minutes using the supplied CD-ROM. From that moment it has all worked perfectly and whilst I don't think I'm getting 200Mb of bandwidth, I'm getting sustained video streaming and internet activity without ever skipping a beat. The only downside is the units are pretty big, with the cable sticking out of the lower right hand side which means you always want to plug it into the right-hand of a double socket. You also need to use proper wall sockets and not an extension. Another power socket gone eh!

I'm living in a huge house and play X-Box 360 in my room, the WiFi would never cover the area from the Router to my Bedroom before and it posed a difficulty for ages till I purchased one of these systems.

Yes the link isn't as quick as if you ran an ethernet wire thru the ceiling downstairs across the landing and into my room but truthfully who has got the time or money to be doing important structural changes to your home for a Net connection. The powerline ethernet adapter will put the web into a room you could not formerly do so in, and like I claimed I use mine for online gaming I have a smooth clear image with no jerking or slide framing from low Web speed and it works well for me.

My wireless N is worthless in my Victorian Patio but these tiny bits of kit make connecting away from my Computer source doggedly succesful. If you do not live in a modern timber built dwelling, and many of us do not, use this mains plug / home plug for much more trustworthy connections insted of wireless.

I already use two HDX101 to attach my PS3 to my web as the wifi was too flakey. Added the most recent to attach my portable when at the other end of the house and all works well....surprisingly it even worked on a mains plug extension box though I suspect it should not be predicted to!
